Many people do not understand that proper hygiene is as important to health and overall wellness as diet and exercise are.  This course offers insight into the Biblical basis for good hygienic practices in order to remain healthy—the first written accounts of hygienic practices found in the first five books of the Bible; medical science and the Bible; the importance of strategic hygienic measures; the importance of hand-washing for reducing infection and transmission of disease; colds/flu and hygiene practices; the “hygiene hypothesis”; the immune system and immunity; the role of auto-inoculation; fasting and detoxification (another form of cleansing); the importance of sexual purity—among other topics.  (Fully referenced/footnoted)
